Trina Popa, LCSW
Welcome to Luminescence Counseling, where I transformed a dream into a reality. As the founder, my journey began while working with various mental health agencies, leading me to establish Luminescence with a profound desire to transform the mental health industry in the treasure coast area. Recognizing my passion for helping others, I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, receiving my master’s degree in social work from Barry University.
My focus is to treat children, teens, couples, and families using an array of interactive and evidence-based techniques. From Inner Child Work with adults to the Gottman Method for couples, my modalities are diverse. With children, I use a variety of fun and engaging techniques such as Art Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Play Therapy. Specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, bullying issues, ADD/ADHD, grief and family dysfunction, I bring a holistic perspective to each session. I have specialized training in adoption competency for children in post-adoptive homes as well as extensive experience working with children of divorce. My goal in sessions is to help my clients understand the root cause of their maladaptive behaviors by exploring childhood experiences and past traumas, and embark on a journey of deep healing.
Beyond the counseling room, I am an avid animal-lover, known to be caught sneaking snacks to anyone with four legs. As a Palm City resident and devoted mother of two, my passion lies in contributing to the well-being of our shared community. Join me in exploring your path to fulfillment at Luminescence Counseling.
